The association is active in the field of socio-cultural animation working with youth and adults, with the aim of promoting social inclusion, equality and fairness through a variety of workshops, lectures, awareness campaigns and other events. An important objective of the association is the integration of its members and the interested public in the local community through the international youth work. 

 

Društvo avtonomija manages international projects mostly to provide learning opportunities for its members and interested public mainly within the Erasmus + programme.

With the organization of various projects the association strives to remain active in the development of key life skills and to provide additional opportunities in life for its members and those willing to perpetually broad their horizons and acquire new knowledge.

 

Društvo avtonomija has been running European projects since 2011 hosting four multilateral projects aimed to youth and youth workers. Its project have been twice selected as examples of best practice by the Slovenian National Agency. The association has been coordinating various projects and events within the transnational youth work setting as sending organization whilst cooperating with various organizations Europe-wide.  

 

The strength of its activities lies in developing new non-formal methods and tools always striving for development of qualitative and interesting future projects. The key staff of the organization has long-standing experiences of managing or coordinating European projects in the field of youth, specializing their involvement in the projects dealing on active citizenship, equality, global fairness, sport and gender issues. The association has achieved significant results in dissemination and visibility of the projects and their results in the past, always creating quality content and project deliverables of high standards.

 

Društvo Avtonomija members keep themselves up to date actively participating in forefront training activities. 

At the same time they provide training and facilitation to organisations within its different project implementations applying international education package tailored to diverse needs of organisations and its target groups.

Additionally Društvo Avtonomija coordinates or provides assistance and support in project planning and application preparation to non governmental sector and private entities.
